Rapid COVID-19 Testing in Newtown during July

The rapid testing service for people without COVID-19 symptoms is returning to Newtown until the end of July.

People living, working and studying in the Newtown area can drop in to the Park Street Day Centre in Newtown between 11.30am - 5.30pm, seven days a week for a free test.

Our team will help you with your test, and will also give you testing kits to take away with you.

Lateral Flow Devices

You can get regular test kits if you cannot work from home (including volunteers) and are not part of a regular testing scheme through your employer. You can get testing kits for yourself and your household.

Lateral Flow Devices by Post

Volunteers and those who are unable to work from home can order a lateral flow self-test kit to be delivered direct to their home. People can order a test from https://gov.wales/get-rapid-lateral-flow-covid-19-tests-if-you-do-not-have-symptoms

Lateral Flow Devices: Collection Points

Welsh Government has put in place collection points for lateral flow devices for volunteers and those who are unable to work from home. Within Powys these are currently located in Brecon and Newtown, and you can also use collection points in neighbouring counties.
