Age 18 to 29

Last updated 12 April 2021

People aged 18-29 are due to be invited for vaccination by the end of July.
You can also join our secondary reserve list.

In line with the national COVID-19 vaccination strategy we plan to offer vaccination to everyone aged 18-49 from the end of April through to the end of July (beginning with those aged 40-49). We have been able to offer vaccination ahead of schedule for some people aged 18-49.

First Dose Appointments

Vaccination for people aged 18 to 29 will normally take place in our mass vaccination centres.

In line with UK guidance, people aged 18-29 who do not have other underlying health conditions will be offered an alternative to AstraZeneca, if available.

Please wait to be contacted to be invited for your vaccination unless you join our secondary reserve list. Vaccination is available by appointment only.

Please note that as expected we are entering a period with reduced UK supplies off first dose vaccines so we will not be calling people from the reserve list as quickly as was happening earlier this month.

Second Dose Appointments

You will normally be invited for your second dose appointment 11-12 weeks after your first dose appointment, and you will normally be offered the same vaccine type as your first dose.

More information is available from the second dose appointments section of our website.
