7 November 2025
Each year on the 11th of November, we come together, united in remembrance, to honour all those who have served, suffered, and sacrificed in the conflict of war, and those service personnel who continue to serve with courage and dedication.
On Remembrance Day 2025, Powys Teaching Health Board is encouraging staff and patients across all health board sites to join the nation in a two-minute silence at 11:00am, quietly remembering the courageous efforts of those who fought for peace and a better world.
As a mark of respect, the Armed Forces flag will be raised at Powys Community Hospitals.
Dr. Carl Cooper, Chair of Powys Teaching Health Board said:
‘Remembrance Day is more than honouring the fallen. It is recognising the courage, dedication, and resilience of those who serve today. It is a time to reflect on the legacy of peace and welfare that emerged from the devastation of war and to reiterate our commitment to those values in our work and our communities.
On 11 November 1918, the world changed forever. A war that claimed millions of lives and reshaped communities came to an end. This date holds profound significance, a time when nations unite across the world to pay a silent salute. We have a responsibility to ensure we remember and continue to remember the impact of conflict for future generations.’
