Equality and Welsh Language

The Welsh Language and Equality Team promotes the use of the Welsh Language,  assists the Health Board in operating bilingually and advises staff on how to reduce discrimination, under the Public Sector Equality Duty.

Our work includes:

  • helping departments to develop Welsh language services
  • providing a translation service,
  • supporting staff who wish to learn Welsh
  • ensuring the Health Board complies with the Welsh Language Standards
  • provide training on Welsh Language compliance and Equality responsibilities
  • advise on interpretation and accessibility
  • advise on how to undertake an Equality Impact Assessment

Complaints

Powys Teaching Health Board takes all complaints seriously, and we welcome complaints made in Welsh. Your complaint will not be treated less favorably than a complaint in English.
