The Glan Irfon 12-bed health and care unit provides short stay reablement. It does not have an A&E department or Minor Injury Unit.

The health and care centre is located on the main A483 to the west of Builth Wells.

There is a railway station at Builth Road or Cilmery with connections to Llandrindod Wells and South Wales.

Car parking is available on site including disabled access spaces.

The Outpatients department provides a range of outpatient clinics including visiting consultants from district general hospitals.

The site is a no smoking area and smoking is strictly prohibited on hospital premises.
