Vaccination is the most important thing we can do to protect ourselves and our children against ill health. They prevent up to 3 million deaths worldwide every year.

Powys School Nursing Service deliver all scheduled vaccinations and the annual flu vaccination for school-aged children who attend schools across Powys.

Children who do not attend school can contact their GP to receive their vaccinations at their GP practice.

If you are unsure if your child has missed any vaccinations, please contact your GP practice.

The Public Health Wales website provides a wide range of vaccine information for all young people.

The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine plays a vital role in helping to protect against a range of cancers. It is offered to all 12 to 13-year-olds (boys and girls). Read more on Public Health Wales' website.
