Compliments
Compliments in healthcare provide significant benefits for patients, staff, teams, and organisations. While complaints often highlight areas for improvement, compliments help identify and reinforce what is working well.
In Powys Teaching Health Board we welcome compliments and recognise the benefits they have in increasing staff morale and engagement in delivering high-quality care.
Compliments can be submitted via our online survey feedback system called Civica. Once on the link, please select the service you wish to provide feedback about from the drop-down menus: Choose your Departments
Alternatively, you can submit your compliments via email to pthb.peoplesexperience@wales.nhs.uk
Please ensure you provide the following information to allow us to ensure your compliment gets to the right person or team.
- Date, time & location of your experience
- Names of staff involved (if known)
- Details of your compliment
People’s Choice Awards
Have you or your loved one received great care from one of our members of staff or teams? Would you like to nominate them for a People's Choice Award? This is your chance to say thank you.
Powys Teaching Health Board strives to ensure that the care we provide is high quality, safe, efficient and delivers the best outcomes for people. We know that many of our services, both in our hospitals and the community, provided by our staff, students and volunteers are exceptional. As a health board, we often receive compliments and requests to thank staff on behalf of patients, carers and families.
To help us capture, celebrate and learn from these positive examples of care and exceptional service, as well as ensure our staff receive thanks from those that matter the most; our patients and their families, we have introduced the ‘People's Choice Awards’.
The People's Choice Awards give patients, carers, relatives and visitors the chance to have their say and nominate any member of staff or team, working for Powys Teaching Health Board, who they feel have gone the extra mile, provided outstanding care and made a real positive difference to people's lives.
