Students aged 16+ will be invited for COVID-19 vaccination based on their Priority Group. COVID-19 Vaccination is currently available for people aged 16+ except for specific circumstances.

You will be invited for vaccination based on where you are registered with a GP.

Information for students aged 18+ who are registered with a GP in Powys

If you are registered with a GP in Powys and you have not received your invitation, you can fill in our Priority Access Form. 

Information for students aged 18+ who are not registered with a GP in Powys

You will be invited for vaccination in the area where you are currently registered with a GP.

If you are living away from the place where you are registered with a GP then you can apply for temporary registration with a local GP practice.

We recommend that everyone registers with a GP in order to access health care (including temporary registration if you are living away from where you are normally registered).

Please contact your local GP practice for details. Once you are registered with a GP in Powys you will be invited for COVID-19 vaccination by the Powys COVID-19 vaccination programme.

If you are temporarily registered with a GP in Powys and you have not received your invitation, you can fill in our Priority Access Form. 

You can also fill in the Priority Access Form if you do not wish to request temporary registration, as lack of GP registration should not be a barrier to accessing COVID-19 vaccination.

We find it very helpful to have your NHS number to assist our booking process.

Information for Overseas Students aged 18+ who are not registered with a GP in Powys

If you are temporarily resident in Powys from overseas then you can use our Priority Access Form to request vaccination. We will need to contact you to discuss eligibility.

What if I move between my first dose and second dose?

If you move between your first and second dose (e.g. because you leave college) then the NHS will aim to provide your second dose at your new location. Please make sure you keep your vaccination card to help us give you the right vaccine at the right time.
