What is Health Coaching?

Health Coaching is here to help you take meaningful, practical steps toward what matters most in your life. Whether you're living with a long-term health condition or simply want to feel more in control of your wellbeing, our small-group sessions provide a supportive space to explore your goals, reconnect with your strengths, and build confidence. Each session is guided by trained facilitators using a structured approach that supports reflection, goal-setting, and action planning. You’ll be encouraged to identify what’s important to you, explore realistic changes, and develop a personal goal that feels achievable and right for you. There’s no need to prepare anything in advance – just come with an open mind and a willingness to explore your values, challenges, and priorities. These sessions are all about you – your journey, your goals, and your next steps.

What’s included

  • One 90 minute online group session
  • A practical workbook to guide you
  • Available as an introductory session or a review session

How it works

  1. Speak with a PLWS clinician about your options.
  2. When you book your place on the Six Pillars programme, you can indicate your interest in joining a Health Coaching session.
  3. You will then be booked a place in a group as soon as one becomes available.
  4. Use the link in your confirmation email to access the online area. You will find your workbook to download and the link to your session.
  5. Attend the group session.
  6. Complete your downloaded workbook as you go to support your learning.
  7. Apply what you learn in everyday life.
  8. Give feedback to help us improve.
