What are the Six Pillars?

The Six Pillars programme is a practical, person-centred approach to improving your health and wellbeing. Based on the principles of Lifestyle Medicine, it supports long-term behaviour change using evidence-based techniques and clinical guidance. Each of our Six Pillars helps you focus on a different part of your wellbeing, with support that's flexible and practical. —

How it works

  1. Speak with a PLWS clinician about your options.
  2. Around 4 weeks before the programme starts, you’ll receive an email invitation with a link to the booking form. Please complete it — even if you can’t attend — so we know how to support you.
  3. Use the link in your confirmation email to access the online area. You will find prerecorded videos, workshop links, resources and your workbook to download.
  4. Watch the short prerecorded video at your own pace before the live workshop.
  5. Attend the weekly online workshop.
  6. Complete your downloaded workbook as you go to support your learning.
  7. Apply what you learn in everyday life.
  8. Give feedback to help us improve.
