Important Patient Notice – Closure of My Dentist Practice in Knighton
The My Dentist practice in Knighton has announced that it will be closing on 30 September 2025
We understand that this news is frustrating and concerning for residents of Knighton and the surrounding areas.
Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) would like to reassure residents that we are actively scoping options for future dental services in the area.

Urgent NHS Dental Care
Patients are advised to call NHS 111 Wales if they need urgent dental care.
Common urgent dental problems include:
- severe toothache where painkillers have not helped
- bleeding after a tooth extraction
- visible swelling of the neck or face
- knocked-out teeth
The team at NHS 111 Wales will provide an assessment over the telephone. Depending on your needs, they may provide telephone advice or refer you for an urgent dental appointment.
