Protect yourself and others this winter

As we move through the winter months, we are seeing an increase in respiratory illnesses, including colds, flu and other winter viruses, as well as cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in our community.

To help protect our patients, visitors, and staff, we are asking everyone to think carefully before visiting our hospitals. Many of our patients are vulnerable and more likely to experience serious complications from these infections.

We understand how important it is to see your loved ones, but by staying home if you're unwell, you are helping to reduce the spread of infections and protect those who are most at risk.

Please do not visit our hospitals if:

  • You are feeling unwell with symptoms such as cough, sore throat, fever, runny nose, diarrhoea, or vomiting.
  • You have been unwell in the past 48 hours - even if you are now feeling better

Our Visitors page provides more information about visiting our hospitals.

Protect yourself and others this winter

If you are eligible for either flu, COVID-19 or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccination this winter, please attend your appointment.

Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you from serious illness.
