Snow Alert: Changes to COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments at Mass Vaccination Centres

With snow forecast for the whole of Powys on Saturday we are taking steps to bring forward appointments for COVID-19 vaccination in our mass vaccination centres.

If you are booked for an appointment at a Mass Vaccination Centre in Powys (Bronllys Hospital, Royal Welsh Showground Builth Wells, Newtown Leisure Centre) on Saturday 30 January your appointment will now be on FRIDAY 29 JANUARY.

Please come on FRIDAY 29 JANUARY at the same time as your original appointment on Saturday.

We are working hard to contact people but we recognise that some people may not see this information in time to move their appointment from Saturday 30 January to the same time on Friday 29 January:

If you do not receive this information early enough to attend at the SAME time, please come on FRIDAY 29 JANUARY as soon as you can after your Saturday appointment time, and no later than 8pm.

We hope that our mass vaccination centres can still operate on Saturday, but we want to be prepared in case the weather prevents this.
If you do not receive this information in time to come on Friday at all, please check back for a weather update to see if our mass vaccination centres are open on Saturday.

Q: I don't have an appointment but can I come?

Please do not turn up without an appointment. This alert is only for people who already have a booked appointment at our mass vaccination centres on Saturday 30 January.

But, you can join our main reserve standby list if you are in Priority Groups 1-4 (aged 70+ or an adult who is clinically extremely vulnerable).

You can also join our secondary reserve standby list if you are in Priority Group 5 (age 65-69).

Putting your name on a standby reserve list does not guarantee that you will be called. If you are not called you will still receive an invitation for an appointment in the normal way. People in Priority Groups 1-4 are due to be invited for an appointment by mid February.
