You can join the NHS dental waiting list using the Dental Access Portal

If you are already a patient at a dental practice, please contact that practice for your routine dental care first.

If you are not a patient at a dental practice, you can request a routine NHS dental appointment with the Dental Access Portal online.

You can use this service if you live at an address in Powys for more than six months of the year, or are registered with a GP in Powys

You can apply for yourself or on behalf of others, such as a child, family member or as a paid or unpaid carer.

If you do not wish to or cannot apply online, please call the Powys Dental Helpline on 01686 252 808.

Please contact NHS 111 Wales if you need emergency dental treatment.

Have you registered with the Dental Access Portal?

Remember to update your details if anything changes:

  • new telephone number?
  • new email address?
  • new special requirements?
  • new travel arrangements (you can add information about the distance you would travel for NHS dental care)?

We know that it can be difficult to access routine NHS dental care at the moment. We are taking action to address these gaps. By joining the Dental Access Portal we can allocate you to NHS dental places when they become available, with first priority given to children on the waiting list.
