Text messaging service developed to help smokers quit

The Powys Stop Smoking team are currently working in partnership with GP practices to support smokers via a text messaging service. Smokers will be invited via text message to contact GP Practice for support to quit smoking. On contact with the GP practice, they will be booked into an initial assessment session and from here signposted to appropriate support (either local group, face to face clinic or telephone/ online support or Level 3 Pharmacy).
