A new Welsh speaker has joined NHS Wales’ digital mental health service, complementing the Welsh-language provision on offer.
Erin Jones is the latest Supporter to join the Online CBT Service.
Everyone who signs up to SilverCloud® is assigned a supporter.
Their role is to guide service users through their chosen programme, help them make the most of SilverCloud’s® tools and exercises, and answer any questions.
SilverCloud’s® programmes provide support for mild-to-moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, sleep problems and more.
Anyone in Wales aged 16 or over can self-refer to the service without seeing a GP and from the comfort of their own home.
There’s also help for young people and students and for parents and carers supporting anxious children.
Meanwhile, the platform’s three most popular programmes for managing depression and anxiety are available in Welsh.
Said Erin: “Being able to talk about how you’re feeling in your chosen language can make a huge different to how you connect with the material and express yourself.
“I’m really looking forward to supporting both Welsh and English speakers in their SilverCloud journey.”
