Dental Services In Brecon

female patient lying with open wide mouth while male dentist operates on teeth

Powys Teaching Health Board is delighted to announce a new contract for the provision of NHS dental services in Brecon following the takeover of the former MyDentist surgery in the town.

The new owner is in the process of recruiting a new team with the intention of offering NHS service provision once they have a full team.

In the interim the provider will be offering urgent dental care and prioritised dental treatment.  Please be patient during this interim period.

Please accept our apologies that we are not yet in a position to offer General Dental Services at this practice.

Who do I contact if I need an NHS dentist?

If you live in Powys, or you are registered with a GP in Powys, and you need help finding a General Dental Practitioner, please call the Powys Dental Helpline on 01686 252 808.

Our frontline staff who provide the dental helpline have at times experienced verbal abuse. We would encourage anyone calling the helpline to please be kind as the team is working very hard to deal with your enquiries.

Who do I contact if I have a dental emergency?

If you have a dental emergency and you do not have a General Dental Practitioner, please call NHS 111. They will assess your condition and, if appropriate, provide you with a code to refer you to a local emergency dental service.

If you have toothache or other dental issues you can also find useful information to help you manage your condition on the NHS 111 Wales website at 111.wales.nhs.uk
