Invitation to Tender: Provision of General Dental Services in Llandrindod Wells

22 June 2026

Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking suitably qualified providers to provide NHS General Dental Services in Llandrindod Wells.

Bids are invited by 13 July 2026. Further information is available from the Welsh Government Sell2Wales procurement portal.

Access to routine NHS dental care

Until the new NHS dental service is established, patients are invited to join the NHS Dental Access Portal at https://pthb.nhs.wales/dap.

If you do not have internet access you can call the Powys NHS Dental Access Line on 01686 252 808.

Our teams are working hard to secure new NHS dental services in the county. We kindly ask for your patience, consideration and respect for the team on the Powys NHS Dental Access Line.

After joining the NHS Dental Access Portal you will be allocated a space when one becomes available.

Priority for new spaces is given to children.

Have you registered with the Dental Access Portal?

Remember to update your details if anything changes:

  • new telephone number?
  • new email address?
  • new special requirements?
  • new travel arrangements (you can add information about the distance you would travel for NHS dental care)?

This video can help you log back in to the Dental Access Portal if you are not sure how.

We know that it can be difficult to access routine NHS dental care at the moment. We are taking action to address these gaps. By joining the Dental Access Portal we can allocate you to NHS dental places when they become available, with first priority given to children on the waiting list.

How to get emergency dental treatment

This could be cause by things such as infection and dental injury.

Common emergency dental problems include:

  • severe toothache where painkillers have not helped
  • bleeding after a tooth extraction
  • visible swelling of the neck or face
