Powys Teaching Health Board has paid tribute to its colleagues from across the border in England for providing a drop-in engagement session in Newtown last week.

Staff at Welshpool’s Victoria Memorial Hospital have expressed their thanks to the local League of Friends after their major investment in facilities there.

Drop-in Autumn Booster clinics are taking place week beginning 4 December

Powys Teaching Health Board are committed to ensuring that all Powys residents receive excellent patient care.  We want to hear from you about your experiences of the services we provide and commission - good and bad.

As we switch into Winter mode and turn our heating on, we also reach for our comfy slippers to keep our feet warm.  Wearing slippers can help to reduce instances of colds and flu, stop foot pain on indoor surfaces and prevent fungal infections.

Thursday 23 November is Nursing Support Workers Day and I would like to personally express my sincere thanks to all of our amazing Health Care Support Workers in Powys who provide vital support for Nursing, Midwifery and other settings of care.

Public health experts from Powys Teaching Health Board are strongly encouraging those who are eligible to take up their flu and COVID vaccines in order to give themselves an extra layer of protection from serious illness this winter.
